2 wanted for deadly double shooting

WEST PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police are looking for information on two men they say were responsible for a deadly double shooting.

It happened on Wednesday, July 10, at about 10:30pm.

Officers responded to a radio call about a “person with a gun” at 6112 Callowhill Street in West Philadelphia.

Police arrived and were shown two shooting victims.

The first was lying between a parked car and the curb, suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was 30 years old.

The other was found right there on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was 21 years old.

Both victims were taken to the hospital and pronounced dead before 11pm.

Surveillance video is not clear and police have not said they identified the suspects, or announced a description of either.

They were last seen running away westbound on Callowhill, toward Robinson Street.

Police ask that if you see the suspects, do not approach them. Instead, call the Homicide Division at 215-686-3334 or 215-686-3335, or 911, or the police tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477) immediately. You can also text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847, or click here to submit a tip electronically. They say all tips will remain anonymous.
