HARROWGATE — Philadelphia police released violent video of a man apparently waiting for another, and then running after him and shooting him four times.
You may find it amazing the victim was not killed.
Police say they responded to the 1800 block of E. Venango Street in Harrowgate for a shooting victim. That was on Sunday, Aug. 4, at about 9:10pm.
They found the 18-year-old victim shot twice in his chest, once in his left arm and once in a leg.
He was taken to Temple Hospital.
Surveillance video shows the gunman approaching the victim who was walking on the block, and then firing several shots.
That suspect ran away in an unknown direction.
He is described as having a dark complexion and beard. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, white t-shirt, faded jeans with white patches, and white sneakers.
Police ask that if you recognize or see the suspect, do not approach him. Instead, call the East Detective Division at 215-686-3243 or 215-686-3244, or 911, or their tipline immediately. You can also email, text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847 or click here to submit a tip electronically. They say all tips will remain anonymous.
