JUNIATA PARK — ‘Tis the season for gifts and charitable donations, but also for crimes including bank robberies and requests for help catching the thieves.
The FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force is offering a monetary reward for information leading to the capture of the man who robbed the PNC Bank branch at 1001 E. Erie Avenue at I Street in Juniata Park.
Authorities say this past Monday, Dec. 16, at approximately 2:10pm, he entered and approached the counter.

“He presented a threatening demand note to a teller; then verbally threatened to blow up the bank. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the bank.
“He was last seen riding a mountain bike eastbound on the 900 block of E. Erie Avenue.”
The suspect is described as having a slim build, with a black beard and mustache. He was wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath, a black baseball cap, black backpack and gold-rimmed aviator sunglasses.

He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is urged to call the FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
