SOUTH PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police are asking for help identifying the suspect in the murder of a 39-year-old man by blunt force trauma.
The violence happened in the 800 block of Reed Street in South Philadelphia.
Homicide Unit detectives say the surveillance video clips show the suspect shortly before the deadly beating at 10:30pm on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019.
He was carrying an umbrella under his left arm and following the victim.
The suspect is described as dark-skinned, with a medium to stocky build, wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket or sweatshirt with a light-colored design or character on the chest, gray sweatpants with light-colored rectangular markings around the knees and light-colored athletic shoes with dark markings.

“The city of Philadelphia is offering a reward of $20,000 leading to an arrest and conviction for every homicide,”
and all tips will remain anonymous.
