Man charged with murder in 1 of 2 shootings in 30 minutes, blocks from each other

NORTH PHILADELPHIA — A man is now under arrest for murder after two shootings, a few blocks from each other, in which one of the victims was killed.

Philadelphia police report they caught Theodor Dixon, 26 of Olney, last Thursday, Aug. 29.

Back on June 30, at about 3:40am, they say officers responded to the 2900 block of W. Allegheny Avenue in North Philadelphia for a report of a person with a gun. They found a 36-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital and survived.

Then, a few blocks away on the 3000 block of W. Clearfield Street, a 23-year-old woman was found shot in her face. The victim — later identified as Tianna Valentine-Eatman — was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:15am.

CHARGED: Theodor Dixon, from Philadelphia Police Department

Dixon is charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, robbery, three violations of the Uniform Firearms Act — for being a former convict, having no license and being on Philadelphia streets — two counts of theft — for unlawful taking and receiving stolen property — plus possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person.
