Found: ‘Endangered’ man with diabetes hasn’t gone to work

UPDATE — Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 14, police announced Manuel Smith has been located.


WEST PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police are asking for help finding a missing person they’re calling “endangered.”

Manuel Smith was last seen on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 4:25pm, on the 100 block of N. Peach Street in West Philadelphia.

Police say the 58-year-old

“has not attended work for a number of days and is reported to suffer from diabetes.”

Smith is 5’8″ tall, weighs 190 lbs., with a heavy build and bald head, and he wears black glasses.

Police say

“his clothing description is unknown.”

Anyone with information on where Smith may be is asked call the Southwest Detective Division at 215-686-3183, or 911.
