Resident confronts 3 inside home after break-in

QUEEN VILLAGE — Somebody home in the middle of the afternoon got a big surprise and luckily, that’s all they got.

Philadelphia police say that person was up on the second floor but heard the front door being forced open.

It happened on April 2 at about 2:30pm.

The intended victim immediately looked and confronted the three young suspects inside the home, according to police, and then chased them to 4th and South streets, where the suspects were captured on surveillance video — walking slowly as if they knew they’d gotten away.

Police are calling this incident a burglary and ask that if you see the suspects, do not approach them. Instead, call 911 or their tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477) immediately. You can also text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847, or click here to submit a tip electronically. They say all tips will remain anonymous.
