Video: Search on for 2 men who broke into, stole from Dunkin’ Donuts

FRANKFORD — It’s not always time to make the doughnuts.

Dunkin’ Donuts may have learned that the expensive way because nobody was inside its Frankford location at 1820 Torresdale Avenue except two burglars, 90 minutes after closing time.

Philadelphia police say on Tuesday, Aug. 27, two unknown men got inside through the back door at about 10:30pm.

That restaurant location closes at 9.

Surveillance video shows one of the men walking in the parking lot and then looking around a storage room. He did not have a shirt covering his face the whole time.

Photos and video edited from Philadelphia Police Department.

Then, the second suspect is also seen looking around the storage room. His face was never covered.

Finally, they get into the office where it looks like a cash register drawer with money inside was simply left on top of a desk.

The video shows the first guy helping himself, and apparently generously leaving some for the second.

The guys got out through a door in the storage room but not before the second suspect grabbed something from a shelf.

Police did not say how much money they took before escaping.

They do ask that if you recognize or see the suspects, do not approach them. Instead, call the East Detective Division at 215-686-3243 or 215-686-3244, or 911, or their tip line immediately. You can also email, text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847, or click here to submit a tip electronically. They say all tips will remain anonymous.
