  • The American Athletic Conference has announced the men's basketball scheduling model and pairings for the 2021-22 season.
  • KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the 2020-21 NABC Honors Court, recognizing men's collegiate basketball student-athletes in all NCAA divisions and the NAIA, who excelled in academics during the past season. Four members of the men's basketball team were among those tabbed for the honor.
  • PHILADELPHIA – ESPN Events has revealed the bracket for the 13th annual Shriners Children's Charleston Classic, and Temple will open the eight-team tournament against Clemson on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. This will be the sixth meeting between the Owls and the Tigers. The game will be shown on ESPN2.
  • PHILADELPHIA — Temple was heavily represented on the list of American Athletic Conference academic awards list released today, as three Owl programs took home AAC Academic Excellence Awards (Men's Cross Country, Women's Lacrosse, Women'sRowing) and 269 student-athletes were named to the All-Academic Team.
  • PHILADELPHIA – The Shriners Children's Charleston Classic has set its eight-team field, which includes Temple, for the 2021 tournament to be held Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 18, 19 and 21, at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C. The rest of the field includes Boise State, Clemson, Elon, Marquette, Ole Miss, St. Bonaventure and West Virginia.
  • PHILADELPHIA – Temple University redshirt freshman guard Damian Dunn has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Co-Rookie of the Year in voting by the league's coaches and select media.  Dunn also joins sophomore guard Khalif Battle on the All-Big 5 Second Team.
  • PHILADELPHIA – Emmanuel Okpomo, a 6-10, 225-pound center who played last season at Wake Forest, has signed an aid agreement to attend Temple University, announced men's basketball head coach Aaron McKie.   Okpomo will have four seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2021-22 campaign.
  • PHILADELPHIA – Legendary Temple University men's basketball coach John Chaney, who passed away on Jan. 29, will receive the 2021 NABC's Metropolitan Award presented by Nike for long and outstanding service to men's college basketball.
