  • PHILADELPHIA – The American Athletic Conference announced the starting kickoff times for the first three weeks of the 2021 season, along with several primetime and nationally-televised contests. Among the announcements were Temple's first six 2021 contests.
  • PHILADELPHIA – The 2021 season opening football game between Temple and Rutgers has been changed from Saturday, August 4, to Thursday, August 2. This change was mutually agreed upon by both schools.
  • PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football Head Coach Rod Carey announced today that offensive analyst Jake Landry was promoted to the role of quarterbacks' coach. That role was vacated by the resignation of Craig Harmon who held that position at Temple from 2019-2000.
  • PHILADELPHIA – Following the 2021 National Football League Draft, defensive tackle Daniel Archibong and wide receiver Branden Mack signed free agent contracts becoming the 29th former Temple players currently amongst the ranks of the NFL. Archibong signed with the Chicago Bears and Mack signed with the Denver Broncos.
  • After graduating from Temple University in 2017, Adonis Jennings had his sights set on the next level, as many college athletes do. A 6'3" wide receiver, Jennings flashed as a younger player during the Owls' runs to the AAC Championship games before breaking out in 2017 for 742 yards and seven touchdowns on 42 receptions. […]

  • PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football will begin 2021 Spring Practice on Monday, April 5. The plan is to practice two days with one off day repeatedly until completing all 15 NCAA allotted practices. Understanding that COVID-19 protocols are still in effect, the schedule is always subject to change.
  • PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football head coach Rod Carey announced today that Chris Smith was hired as assistant director of football operations.
  • PHILADELPHIA – The Temple Football program played host to its annual pro day this afternoon as eight former Owls participated in the event in front of a group of NFL scouts.
  • IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference announced today that Temple's football game at East Carolina, originally scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 4, will now be played on Saturday, Nov. 6.
