OXFORD CIRCLE — The Philadelphia police Special Victims Unit has identified a suspect after two teenagers reported being sexually assaulted under similar circumstances, earlier this month.
Police say he is 20-year-old Drean Tabb, whose last known address is on the 1400 block of Devereaux Avenue in Oxford Circle, blocks from the sites of the attacks.
Now, police are asking for help finding Tabb.
On Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 12:15am, the 18-year-old alleged victim had reported getting off the SEPTA #14 bus at Bustleton Avenue and Levick Street. Then, when she’d walked to the 1200 block of Elbridge Street, the man believed to be Tabb
“followed and approached her from behind. He led her to the rear driveway on the 1200 block Elbridge Street where he sexually assaulted her then took her phone and fled through the driveway.”
Days later, on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 11:21pm, the 16-year-old alleged victim reported she’d gotten off the same SEPTA bus at the same stop. Then, when she was on the 6200 block of E. Roosevelt Boulevard, the man believed to be Tabb
“approached her from behind and pulled her jacket up over her face. He then pulled her into an alleyway while telling her not to make noise then sexually assaulted her. The suspect then took the victim’s phone and fled in an unknown direction.”
