Video: 2 wanted for setting fire inside convenience store

MAYFAIR — Trouble in a gas station’s convenience store led to an explosion, then fire, when the alleged troublemakers made their way out.

Now, Philadelphia police are asking for help identifying the arson suspects.

WANTED FOR ARSON: Photos and video from Philadelphia Police Department

They say on Friday, July 19, at about 11:50pm, two unknown men were “causing a disturbance” at the Express Fuel. That’s at 6300 Frankford Avenue in Mayfair.

Watch surveillance video as the suspects were leaving. One held the door open as the other threw some sort of incendiary device into the store.

That device blew up, causing an explosion and fire, in and out of the building.

Police ask that if you recognize or see the suspects, do not approach them.

Instead, call 911 or their tip line immediately. You can also email, text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847, or click here to submit a tip electronically. They say all tips will remain anonymous.
