Video: Burglars break deli door, escape almost empty-handed

GAYBORHOOD — Two men tried to take money from a deli, early Veterans Day morning, and were probably very disappointed in what they were able to get.

Philadelphia police say at 1:35am on Monday, Nov. 11, two unknown men walked up to the Middle Child Deli at 248 S. 11th Street in the Gayborhood.

They broke the glass to the front door.

Then, one suspect went inside while the other stayed on the sidewalk as a lookout.

The one inside managed to take “a jar of change” and that was it, according to police!

Then, both suspects ran away and were last seen heading southbound on 11th Street.
