Video: Men punch woman, 66, knock her to the ground

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA — Two men who committed a vicious crime against an older woman at a bus stop are on the loose, and Philadelphia police are asking for your help getting them off the streets.

This happened more than a month ago, at about 5am on Sept. 5.

WANTED: Photos and video edited from Philadelphia Police Department

Police say two unknown men

“were captured on surveillance video lurking around the 1600 block of Moore Street.”

That’s in South Philadelphia, on the border of Point Breeze.

“The suspects then saw the victim, a 66 year-old female, waiting at the bus stop on the corner and waited until there were no witnesses around.”

Now, the worst part was captured on video.

“The suspects then approached the victim, punching and knocking her to the ground.”

They ran away with the woman’s bag and were last seen heading south in the 1800 block of S. 17th Street.

Police ask that if you recognize or see the suspects, do not approach them. Instead, call the Southwest Detective Division at 215-686-3183 or 215-686-3184, 911, or their tip line immediately. You can also email, text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847, or click here to submit a tip electronically. They say all tips will remain anonymous.
