Video: Suspects wanted for armed robbery of man unloading groceries

FISHTOWN — A man who went grocery shopping late at night got quite a nightmare after he parked near his home.

The victim told Philadelphia police he was unloading groceries when he saw three guys riding bicycles on the sidewalk pass him.

This happened early Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 12:30am, on the 1800 block of Frankford Avenue in Fishtown, near Kensington.

Start watching the top right of the video. The victim’s face is covered so he’s not recognized.

According to police,

“The victim then felt a hard object pressed to the back of his head and when he turned, he observed one suspect with a gun pointed at his face while the second suspect went inside his pants pockets.”

That second guy stole his keys, along with his black iPhone XS, and the black and blue schoolbag with a white Wawa logo that was on his shoulder.

WANTED, from Philadelphia Police Department

The suspects escaped on their bicycles and were last seen heading south on Frankford Avenue, toward Montgomery Avenue.

Police ask that if you recognize or see the suspects, do not approach them. Instead, call the East Detective Division at 215-686-3243 or 215-686-3244, or 911, or their tip line immediately. You can also email, text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847, or click here to submit a tip electronically. They say all tips will remain anonymous.
